Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the services provided by Source247 Accounting. By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About Us

Source247 Accounting is a professional accounting and bookkeeping firm based at 2 Tresco Close, Bolton, BB2 4RT, United Kingdom. We provide bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, annual accounts, self-assessment, and tax advisory services to small businesses and sole traders.

2. Engagement of Services

Our services commence upon receipt of a signed engagement letter or written confirmation of your acceptance of our proposal. The specific services to be provided, fees, and payment terms will be set out in your individual engagement letter.

We reserve the right to decline to act for any client at our absolute discretion.

3. Our Responsibilities

We will provide the services described in your engagement letter with reasonable skill and care, in accordance with applicable professional standards and UK legislation.

We will maintain the confidentiality of all information you provide to us, except where we are required by law or regulation to disclose it, or where you have given us your consent to do so.

We will notify you promptly of any matters that come to our attention that may affect your tax or financial position.

4. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing us with complete, accurate, and timely information and documentation necessary for us to carry out our services. We will rely on the information you provide without independent verification.

You are responsible for ensuring that all tax returns, accounts, and other documents we prepare on your behalf are correct and complete before they are submitted. You must review and approve all documents before submission.

You must inform us promptly of any changes to your circumstances that may affect the services we provide.

5. Fees and Payment

Our fees are as set out in your engagement letter or as otherwise agreed in writing. All fees are quoted exclusive of VAT, which will be added at the prevailing rate where applicable.

Invoices are due for payment within 30 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at a rate of 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

We reserve the right to suspend services where invoices remain unpaid beyond their due date.

6. Limitation of Liability

Our liability to you for any loss or damage arising from our services is limited to the fees paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of anticipated savings, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

7. Termination

Either party may terminate the engagement by giving not less than 30 days' written notice to the other party.

We may terminate the engagement immediately if you fail to pay our fees when due, provide false or misleading information, or act in a way that we reasonably believe puts us in breach of our professional obligations.

Upon termination, you will be liable for all fees and expenses incurred up to the date of termination.

8. Intellectual Property

All work product, reports, and documents we produce for you are provided for your use only and may not be shared with third parties without our prior written consent, except as required for the purpose for which they were prepared.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes. Continued use of our services following notification of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
